A former Alabama running back is trying to forge a path backย intoย the Iron Bowl rivalry, except it’s toย the other side of it.
Tyren Jones,ย anย Alabama commit in 2013 whoย was kicked off the team this springย after a marijuana arrest, willย visit Auburn this weekend, according to Rivals.com.
At the time of that arrest, Jones was already serving an indefinite suspension for a violation of team rules. Jones wasย kicked off the team before transferring to Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, where he rushed for 658 yards andย 5ย touchdowns.
Jones is visiting as a guest and does not have an offer from the Tigers. Auburnย hasย a RB commitย in this yearโs class inย Malik Miller, a 4-star prospect out of Madison, Ala., listed as an athlete.
Jones was also aย 4-star prospect as a recruit before joining the Crimson Tide.
