Former Alabama and Texas wide receiver Agiye Hall has not given up on playing college football.
Four years after enrolling at Alabama, Hall is looking for a new opportunity in the transfer portal. He has appeared in 10 games over 2 seasons, last playing for Texas in 2022.
Hall was one of the top wide receivers in the Class of 2021. Out of Bloomingdale High School, Hall was rated 4-stars, the No. 5 wideout and No. 45 prospect overall on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with Alabama over 41 other scholarship offers.
Hall would spend only 1 season with the Crimson Tide. He played in 7 games during the 2021 campaign. He was suspended by then-coach Nick Saban for a violation of team rules and left the program.
In 2022, Hall transferred to Texas. Hall, who made 3 appearances with the Longhorns, left Steve Sarkisian’s program after an arrest for criminal mischief.
Hall has been away from football as he dealt with other matters. He had hoped to play for Gus Malzahn at UCF as a walk-on in 2024, but he was unable to join the Knights.
In July 2023, a K-9 unit at the Orlando airport found 40 pounds of marijuana in Hall’s luggage. He was arrested in December 2023 and pleaded no contest in June 2024.
Silas Morgan of the Orlando Sentinel spoke to Hall’s attorney, Richard Hornsby, for an Aug. 1, 2024 article.
The State Attorney’s Office was unwilling to let him plead to any offense other than the cannabis trafficking offense … Because of that, UCF made it clear that he was not going to be allowed to continue with the football team.
Hall received 18 months probation and a $774 fine. We’ll see if there’s another chapter in his college football journey.
