Though former Arkansas RB Jonathan Williams started to emerge at the end of last season for the Buffalo Bills, he’s now looking for work.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday afternoon that the Bills had cut Williams, who was in the mix to be their No. 2 running back behind LeSean McCoy.
Now, the ex-Razorback will scramble to find a new job before the start of the 2017 season next weekend:
Unexpected move: The #Bills just cut RB Jonathan Williams, source said. Productive player, was slated to be their No. 2 RB at one point.

In 11 games last season, Williams received 27 carries for 94 yards and one touchdown. He was a fifth-round pick by the Bills during the 2016 NFL Draft.
He had reportedly been nursing a knee injury recently, but it was not clear whether that factored into Buffalo’s decision to let him go or not.
