Former Auburn DL Antwuan Jackson has ‘no hard feelings’ toward Tiger coaches
It’s not often that a player’s departure leads to controversy, but that’s exactly what happened when Auburn announced Antwuan Jackson was leaving the program two months ago.
The former U.S. Army All-American was soon blocked by Auburn from transferring inside the SEC, which is common practice for SEC programs, and found himself barred from heading to Ohio State. Considering the Buckeyes are not scheduled to be a future opponent of the Tigers, the move raised some eyebrows. Jackson even took to social media to express his frustration regarding the school’s decision.
With some time having passed since his departure and Jackson reportedly already finding a new destination at the junior college level, the defensive lineman appears eager to end his relationship with the Tigers on a high note. Jackson posted a thoughtful note Wednesday, wishing well on his former coaches and teammates.

Following a season at the junior college level, Jackson very well could find himself suiting up against the Tigers in the near future. Give credit to Jackson for leaving things on good terms, as the thoughtful gesture is likely to pay dividends as he will potentially be searching for a return to the FBS level following the 2017 college football season.
While he will likely find himself becoming a top JUCO prospect due to his elite skill level, the maturity and character shown here should only help his cause as he searches for some big time offers in the coming months.
