Nearly a month after announcing the departure of redshirt freshman Antwuan Jackson from the program, Auburn is now attempting to dictate where the former 2016 U.S. Army All-American can further his college education and playing career.

South Carolina and Ohio State are among the schools Jackson is contemplating transferring to continue his college career, as both factored heavily in his recruitment during the 2016 recruiting cycle. While it does make some sense why the Tigers would want to avoid facing off against Jackson in the future as a member of the Gamecocks in conference play, blocking the defensive lineman from Ohio State seems to make no sense.

Something not lost on Jackson himself. Check out this tweet sent out by the former Auburn defensive lineman:

These comments reiterate the former Tiger’s statements made in a recent interview with Phil Kornblut of The State, Jackson again expressed his displeasure with Auburn’s decision to block his attempts at a transfer.

“Why are they blocking Ohio State for no reason?” Jackson said. “They just put Ohio State on there for no reason. My question to them is why are they blocking me from a Big Ten school when they don’t have anything to do with Big Ten schools?”
