The Auburn Tigers are honoring all of their outgoing seniors today at Jordan-Hare Stadium against the Mercer Bears, as they are hosting their Senior Day festivities in the second-to-last game of the 2025 season.
A total of 17 Auburn seniors were recognized before kickoff down on the plains, and the program also honored several of their recently-claimed national championship teams.
Perhaps the most heartwarming moment of the pre-game Senior Day festivities was the program’s decision to also honor former Auburn running back Brian Battie, who was brought out to a standing ovation from the Tigers’ faithful.
A former All-American with the South Florida Bulls, Battie transferred into Auburn in 2023, where he put together a solid first season with the Tigers. He was expected to play a significant role in Auburn’s backfield in 2024, but missed the entire season after suffering serious injuries in a shooting before the season that left him hospitalized for several months.
Thankfully, Battie survived the incident, but his promising young football career was unfortunately cut short due to the lingering effects of the injuries he suffered during the shooting.
Despite all of that, Battie has continued to work his way through the adversity, and this heartwarming moment he shared with the Auburn faithful is one of the best of the 2025 college football season.
