Former Florida pass rusher and first-round NFL draft pick Dante Fowler is expected to be re-signed by the Dallas Cowboys, according to a report from Dallas News’ Calvin Watkins that was later affirmed by NFL Insider Jordan Schultz.
Fowler spent last season in Dallas with the Cowboys after previous stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars (who drafted him in 2015), Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons. He spent the most time in Jacksonville on his rookie deal, but played best in Los Angeles as an outside linebacker in 2019.
The Cowboys will re-sign DE Dante Fowler to a one-year deal according to a person with knowledge of the signing. @dmn_cowboys

Fowler recorded 6 sacks, 7 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles with the Cowboys last season, appearing in all 17 games.. This move is key in stiffening up the Cowboys’ already stout defense under Dan Quinn.
He played 3 years at Florida from 2012-2014, totaling 140 tackles, 33 for loss with 14.5 sacks. Because of this, he was selected 3rd overall in the 2015 NFL Draft by Jacksonville.
