Report: Former South Carolina Mr. Football interested in returning to Gamecocks
Shaq Roland back in Columbia?
The former South Carolina receiver, named Mr. Football in the state in 2011, is reportedly “very interested” in coming back to the Gamecocks as a graduate transfer and using his final year of eligibility, according to the Sports Talk Radio Network on Tuesday.

Roland, who played in 10 games for South Carolina in 2014 before leaving the team after the season, did not play football last season while attending classes at Winston-Salem State.
In his three seasons with the Gamecocks, Roland recorded 56 catches for 891 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was suspended for four total games over his sophomore and junior seasons in Columbia.
