Former Georgia QB Jake Fromm has landed an opportunity to try out for an NFL squad. This is following injuries suffered by starter Daniel Jones and backup Tyrod Taylor.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on Twitter on Tuesday:
With Daniel Jones (ankle) and Tyrod Taylor (concussion) both injured, Giants are working out QBs today, including Jake Fromm, who spent time with the team last season.

A lot of hype built around Fromm’s career during Georgia’s 2017 and 2018 seasons with great performances against teams like Florida and Alabama. Ultimately he would be drafted in the 5th round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Coach Brian Daboll has a relationship with Fromm during his time at Buffalo as their offensive coordinator. Fromm had 2 starts late in the 2021 season, with one being a loss in Week 18 against Washington. Fromm also was assigned as the COVID QB during the pandemic where he was placed in isolation for the entire season.
General manager Brandon Beane spoke positively about Fromm after the cut with him addressing how unique of a situation the COVID season was. Fromm was asked to work out alone, training away from his teammates and preparing in meetings while being separated.
Fromm has worked out for several teams after being cut from the Bills’ 53-man roster, including the Miami Dolphins. Fromm has a career total of 60 attempts with 27 completions for a total of 210 yards and is 1-1 with his win being against Detroit.
