Former South Carolina RB reportedly being waived by New England Patriots

Former South Carolina running back Kevin Harris is being waived by the New England Patriots, according to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

This news comes in the midst of a wave of several reports as teams rush to trim down their rosters to 53 players by late Tuesday afternoon.

The 21-year-old Harris was originally selected as a sixth-round pick in the 2022 draft at No. 183 overall. Throughout the preseason, he rushed for 81 yards with one fumble and one touchdown through 13 preseason touches. He saw a bit of work out of the backfield, adding in three catches for 13 yards.

While at South Carolina, he carried the ball 358 times for 1,977 yards with 23 touchdowns over three seasons of work.
