A product of Canada, Palmer was born and raised in Ontario, where he lived until transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas High in the US to play football. He received interest from several DI schools, choosing Syracuse before signing with Tennessee. Palmer was previously ranked as the No. 1 Canadian prospect before signing with the Chargers.
Palmer was drafted late in the third round of the 2021 draft, after a college career as a Volunteer. Palmer played all 12 games his freshman year, and won the starting position as a sophomore. He finished his second year with 2 receiving touchdowns, a combined 484 yards, and a third rushing touchdown. He continued to impress in both his junior and senior years, rushing for 457 yards and and 475 yards respectively. Palmer looks to continue his run in the league on Sunday, adding to his 18 yard touchdown run.
