Former Texas A&M defenisve lineman Fadil Diggs is the newest transfer commitment for a Syracuse program making a splash in the transfer portal with new head coach Fran Brown.
Diggs joined the Aggies as a member of their 2020 recruiting class and saw the field sparingly during his first two years on campus. In 2022, he broke out to record 28 total tackles, 5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks, flashing the abilities that earned him a 4-star rating coming out of high school in Camden, New Jersey.
He continued to take steps forward in 2023. Diggs was a disruptive force up front, recording 11 tackles for loss, ranking second on the team to Edgerrin Cooper in that category. At 6-foot-5, 260 lbs., Diggs has a rangy frame that he utilizes to his full advantage, and his upside appears to be immense with four years of collegiate experience under his belt.
Diggs is following his former position coach, as Elijah Robinson announced that he would be taking on the same role with the Orange following the Texas Bowl against Oklahoma State.
Diggs joins James Heard (West Virginia) as incoming edge rushers to join the Syracuse program.
