Former Texas A&M pass rusher Jahzion Harris is expected to transfer to Rutgers, per On3’s Matt Zenitz.

Harris entered the NCAA Transfer Portal last week, and it didn’t take him long to find a new college football home. Last season, Harris played in 2 games for the Aggies. He recorded 4 total tackles, including a sack.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Harris signed with the Aggies during the 2021 recruiting cycle. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 208 player overall, as well as the state of New York’s No. 2 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He signed with TAMU over offers from LSU, Maryland, Miami and Michigan, among others. Now, he’s likely headed to the Big Ten and closer to home.

As a post-May undergraduate entry into the transfer portal, Harris would need an NCAA waiver to play in the 2022 college football season.
