Former Texas A&M star Cashius Howell runs impressive 40-yard dash at NFL combine
Cashius Howell’s week in Indianapolis at the 2026 NFL Combine is seemingly going well.
Howell and other edge rushers ran the 40-yard dash on Thursday in Indy. Howell’s first run was a speedy 4.6 seconds, which was good for the fourth-fastest time among players at his position.

The NFL scouting combine will continue through the weekend with players from various positions set to participate in a variety of drills and tests. Quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers are scheduled to run the 40-yard dash on Saturday.

Howell is a potential first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which is scheduled to begin on April 23. Running a fast 40-yard dash time will certainly help his draft stock after a very productive final season in College Station. Howell led the Aggies with 14.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks in 2025.
As for Texas A&M, the program is scheduled to begin spring practice in preparation for the 2026 season on March 20.
