Week 1 of the 2025 college football season gave everyone their first real glimpse of what the eventual College Football Playoff bracket could end up looking like once December rolls around.

After a number of pivotal tilts, ESPN CFB analyst Heather Dinich has released her first CFP bracket projection, and it features 4 separate SEC programs making the field come season’s end.

The LSU Tigers are the first SEC team to make the dance in Dinich’s prediction, as she has the Tigers winning the SEC title and securing the top overall seed in the 12-team field.

Dinich then has the Georgia Bulldogs coming in at the No. 6 seed, the Tennessee Volunteers at No. 8, and the Texas Longhorns rounding out the SEC’s selections as the No. 10 seed.

Dinich also had the South Carolina Gamecocks coming in at No. 11 in her final CFP top-25 rankings, but the nature of auto-bids means that the Gamecocks would ultimately be left out in favor of Arizona State and USF.

There’s obviously a very long way to go before the CFP field will be decided, but it’s still very interesting to see where all these teams shake out following the first week of action.
