Frank Martin cracks himself up with awkward phrasing after win over Texas A&M

Every now and then, when you’re speaking with the media, you’re going to say a phrase that has double meanings.
That definitely happened to South Carolina coach Frank Martin on Saturday after the Gamecocks’ big win over Texas A&M. But, instead of ignoring it, Martin had a good laugh at his own expense and moved on.
As you can see in the video below, the awkwardness came when Martin said his players were getting hands on passes and getting hands on balls:

“I thought we had great hands today,” he said. “Instead of putting our hands on people, we’re putting our hands on passes and balls and… um…
“That didn’t sound real good, did it? Wow. Excuse me. I might have to rephrase the last part of that.”
Regardless of awkward turns of phrase, it was a good day for the Gamecocks, who improved to 6-4 in SEC play with the win.
