Friday night’s injury reports for No. 5 Georgia and No. 17 Alabama were revealed on the eve of Saturday night’s colossal showdown in Athens.

The game between the bitter SEC rivals will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC, with so much on the line for both programs. For Georgia, it’s about staying undefeated and on track to get to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game. For Alabama, it’s about avoiding that dreaded 2nd loss of the season after the Crimson Tide fell in the season opener at Florida State.

There will be plenty of action on the field for the healthy players, but some of the players from both teams are hobbled coming into the primetime showdown. Some players aren’t guaranteed to be out there on Saturday night.

First, for the visitors from Tuscaloosa, wide receiver Jalen Hale, linebacker Jah-Marien Latham and defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman have all been ruled out. Meanwhile, tight end Danny Lewis Jr. is listed as probable.

For Georgia, tight end Ethan Barbour, offensive lineman Malachi Toliver, offensive lineman Earnest Greene III and wide receiver Thomas Blackshear have all been listed as out.

That’s where the injury situations stand for both powerhouses as gameday finally gets here in the latest edition of 1 of the SEC’s best rivalries.
