Mark Wilks had a feeling this would happen.

That’s why he has insurance.

The store owner of Ashley Furniture in College Station told ESPN.com Thursday night that he would have a ‘check writing party’ next week after being on the wrong end of a sales promotion following Texas A&M’s 52-28 upset of South Carolina.

Wilks offered to reimburse customers for all furniture purchased during the store’s kickoff event from from Aug. 16 through Aug. 27 if the Aggies beat the Gamecocks by at least 10 points.

He revealed that one customer spent $20,000.

“We’ve wanted to do this for three or four years now,” Wilks told ESPN.com. “This was really good for us.”
