Sunday is a day usually reserved for NFL football games, but thanks to Hurricane Matthew, a couple of college games will be played that day, too.

One of those games will be in Columbia, South Carolina, where the Gamecocks will host Georgia.

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp told The Post and Courier he’ll have his team ready to play despite the scheduled disruption:

โ€œIโ€™ve been game-planning all week, and controlling the things that we can control, and thatโ€™s preparing our football team,โ€ Muschamp said. โ€œYou canโ€™t control the other stuff, so I spend zero time worrying about whatโ€™s going to happen.โ€

Muschamp said it’s important to be flexible and ready to handle whatever adversity comes:

โ€œThis is a distraction only if you let it be,โ€ Muschamp said. โ€œOur guys will adjust well to it. I told them some things could change based on the situation. Weโ€™ve just got to handle the situation, adjust, adapt, and overcome.โ€

Sunday’s game between the Bulldogs and Gamecocks is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on the SEC Network.
