George Turkson, an elite power forward from Massachusetts, is headed south to the SEC. Specifically, Turkson is on his way to College Station, Texas to play for the Aggies.

The power forward announced his college commitment live on 247Sports to Buzz Williams on Wednesday afternoon. Seated behind a table wearing a hoodie, Turkson unzipped the hoodie to reveal his decision with an Aggies T-shirt. The power forward chose the Aggies over multiple offers, including his other top 2 choices, UMass and Northwestern.

Turkson is a 4-star recruit, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Massachusetts, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s also ranked as the No. 15 power forward in the nation in the Class of 2024. The elite recruit was a key target for head coach Buzz Williams, and Turkson is now the second Massachusetts-based prospect to join the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting cycle. He will join point guard Andre Mills on the Aggies roster next season.
