Kaiden Prothro has found his college home.
Prothro is one of the top tight ends in the country and one of the top recruits in the state of Georgia. On Saturday, he announced his commitment to play for Kirby Smart‘s Georgia program.
Out of Bowdon (Georgia) High School, Prothro is listed as measuring 6-6 and 210 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Prothro is rated 5-stars, the No. 3 tight end, No. 3 player in the Peach State and No. 25 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
With Georgia considered one of the top states for high school talent and Prothro one of the top tight ends in the class, a long list of schools were interested in the elite prospect. Prothro collected scholarship offers from 39 programs during his recruitment.
Over the past few weeks, Prothro narrowed his focus to 5 SEC programs. He took visits to Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Texas. He decided to commit to the G.
Prothro is the 28th player to verbally commit in Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 2 nationally on the Composite. Dawg fans who may not follow Bowdon football can get a preview of what Prothro brings to Athens by watching his highlights in the Hudl clip below:
