While this time of the college football season is all about the transfer portal, the Georgia Bulldogs got a boost for 2026 on Sunday with the announcement of a returning producer.

Kicker Peyton Woodring took to his X account to announce he is returning to Georgia for his season, a year after earning second-team All-SEC honors.

Woodring converted on 17 of his 19 field goal attempts in 2025 and made all 54 of his point-after tries. Over his three-year Georgia career, Woodring is 59-of-67 on field goals and a perfect 173-for-173 on PATs

Woodring also converted both of his onside kick attempts this past season.

The Bulldogs will have to replace punter Brett Thorson, who won the Ray Guy Award this past season. Thorson is expected to be replaced by Drew Miller in 2026. Georgia also signed Harran Zureikat, the No. 2 kicker in the 247Sports Composite rankings, as a part of the 2026 signing class.

The Bulldogs went 12-2 in 2025, winning the SEC Championship Game in dominant fashion over Alabama to earn the No. 3 seed in the 12-team College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs were one-and-done in the Playoff, though, falling to Ole Miss 39-34 in the Sugar Bowl – a game in which Woodring missed a 55-yard field goal attempt.
