Georgia received a verbal commitment from wide receiver Jeremiah Hollomon (Newton HS / Covington, GA) on Thursday afternoon.

Hollomon, a four-star U.S. Army All-American, picked the Bulldogs over Auburn, Miami, Tennessee, and others.

โ€œThere has been a lot of schools that have given me a chance but Georgia has just stayed the contender for me, โ€œ Holloman told 247Sports.โ€Other schools just shot themselves in the foot, but Georgia just stayed consistent with it. I mean with Coach (Kirby) Smart and Coach (James) Coley and how good our relationships are it was place for me.โ€

Hollomon ranks as the No. 19 player at his position for the 2017 recruiting class and is a top-15 prospect from the state of Georgia.

With the addition of Hollomon, Georgia’s ’17 class gets bumped to No. 3 in the nation (2nd in the SEC).
