Georgia made a significant addition to its 2026 roster on Tuesday morning.

The Bulldogs earned a commitment from ex-Oklahoma cornerback Gentry Williams. On3’s Hayes Fawcett first shared the news. Williams was a multi-year contributor for the Sooners and will have 1 season of eligibility remaining.

Williams spent the last 4 seasons at Oklahoma. His most productive season with the Sooners came in 2023 when he totaled 30 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions during OU’s final Big 12 season. He started 10 games for OU in 2023.

Williams has dealt with injuries over the last 2 campaigns, limiting his production. According to Pro Football Focus, Williams played 100 snaps for Oklahoma in 2025. He conceded 6 catches on 11 targets for 55 yards.

Williams now joins a Georgia secondary that will be hoping to have a better season in 2026. The Bulldogs ranked 6th in the SEC in pass defense efficiency rating this season.

Williams is the seventh transfer to commit to Georgia so far this offseason. He’s also the second cornerback to do so, joining ex-USC cornerback Braylon Conley.

Georgia’s transfer class currently ranks No. 28 nationally, per 247Sports.
