Georgia names team captains for SEC opener at Arkansas

Georgia hits the road on Saturday for its SEC opener against Arkansas.
The Bulldogs are aiming for a 3-0 start after blowing out Tennessee State and Western Kentucky. Leading up to kickoff, Georgia named its team captains, which will be senior offensive lineman Earnest Greene III, senior tight end Lawson Luckie, senior linebacker Raylen Wilson, and senior linebacker Gabe Harris Jr..
The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Greene III is in his fifth year with the Bulldogs and was on the SEC All-Freshman team in 2023. He’s the son of former NFL offensive lineman Earnest Greene Jr.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Luckie’s most productive season came in 2024 when he amassed 24 receptions for 348 yards and 3 touchdowns. Luckie followed that up by scoring a career-high 4 touchdowns last season.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Wilson is coming off the best season of his career. Last season, Wilson tallied 74 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. Overall, Wilson has 139 total tackles, 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Harris Jr. recorded 26 total tackles and a sack last season. Harris Jr. has compiled 52 total tackles, 4 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles as a Bulldog.
Georgia at Arkansas is set for 12 p.m. EST (ABC).
