Georgia moved the ball with ease against Tennessee State Saturday afternoon. This should not come as a surprise.
The Bulldogs are 1-0 on the year after dominating Tennessee State in Week 1, 63-3. In doing so, Georgia put up nearly 700 yards of total offense, including 388 passing yards and 273 rushing yards. Combined, Georgia totaled 661 total yards against the Tigers.
Gunner Stockton was out of this one by the end of the first half, but he set the tone early. Stockton was nearly perfect, completing 15 of his 16 passing attempts for 202 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was one of 5 players to attempt a pass on Saturday. Ryan Puglisi entered the game in the 2nd quarter and led a touchdown drive of his own, completing 7 of his 13 attempts for 109 yards and 1 touchdown.
In the run game, Georgia was led by Nate Frazier, who took 3 of his 4 rushing attempts on the day for touchdowns. No Georgia running back attempted more than 5 rushes on Saturday.
PJ Dean was perhaps the most impressive defender for Georgia against TSU. The freshman defensive lineman totaled 1.5 sacks and provided consistent pressure against an outmatched Tigers O-line.
Georgia will be back in action in Week 2 against Western Kentucky.
