Georgia QB commit Colton Nussmeier to transfer high schools, per report

Georgia quarterback commit Colton Nussmeier is changing high schools.
According to a report from Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, Nussmeier is moving to Archbishop Rummel in Louisiana. He was recently declared ineligible to play at Ryan High School in Texas. He’s set to enter his senior season of high school this fall.
Nussmeier’s eligibility came into question after he transferred from Flower Mound to Denton Ryan this offseason. Ultimately, officials determined that Nussmeier transferred for athletic purposes and therefore would be ineligible to play the 2026 season in the state of Texas.
Nussmeier is the younger brother of former LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the son of New Orleans Saints assistant coach Doug Nussmeier. His new school, Archbishop Rummel, is located in Metairie, Louisiana, which is less than 10 miles from New Orleans.

Nussmeier is an elite high school quarterback prospect. He’s the No. 221 overall player and the No. 17 quarterback in the nation for the class of 2027, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
He’s been committed to Georgia since June, but also received offers from programs like Florida, UCLA, Louisville and Alabama, among others.
