Georgia wide receiver arrested on 2 charges, including felony false imprisonment

Georgia wide receiver Rodarius “Rara” Thomas, an incoming transfer from Mississippi State, was arrested early Monday by university police on 2 charges, including a felony, according to Clarke County Jail arrest records.

Thomas was charged with felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery family violence 1st offense, according to the online booking report seen below. The pass catcher was booked at 4:05 a.m. and remains in jail as of 8:45 ET.

Thomas transferred to Georgia from MSU this offseason. He recorded 44 receptions for 626 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns for Mississippi State in 2022. He’s considered to be an instant-impact-type of receiver for Georgia’s offense in 2023.
