Georgia RB Nate Frazier reportedly decides on plans for 2026 season
Georgia running back Nate Frazier will be back in Athens for the 2025 season, according to a report.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel was first to share that news on Monday evening, citing confirmation from Frazier’s agent. Frazier was one of the most productive running backs in the SEC this season and figures to be a preseason all-conference candidate in 2026.
As Thamel notes, Frazier earned third-team all-SEC honors in 2025.
Frazier just finished up his sophomore season, so he was not eligible to enter the 2026 NFL Draft. However, Frazer certainly would have been one of the most highly-recruited running backs in the transfer portal if he had decided to leave Georgia.
Instead, he’ll return to Athens for a third season. Frazier had a breakout campaign in 2025, rushing for over 900 yards. He was a big reason why the Bulldogs were able to earn another SEC Championship and get back to the College Football Playoff.
In Georgia’s season-ending loss to Ole Miss, Frazier had 86 yards on 15 carries. He’ll be looking to take another big step forward as a junior during the 2026 season.
