The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs are preparing to take on the No. 17 Florida Gators this Saturday in the 105th edition of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Kirby Smart‘s squad is coming off a much-needed bye week after suffering its first loss of the season to unranked Auburn, a game in which the Bulldogs were dealing with a growing list of injuries after a grueling first six weeks of play.

Georgia will enter its highly anticipated showdown with the Gators with some much-needed rest, but they will still be without star running back Chauncey Bowens, who was officially ruled out on the team’s Friday injury report.

This marks the third consecutive game that Bowens has missed after suffering a foot injury during Georgia’s 38-14 victory over Vanderbilt back in Week 5. There was some optimism that the junior running back would be able to return against Florida, but he will have to wait a little longer to get back on the field.

The former four-star recruit burst onto the scene during the first few weeks of the season, establishing himself as the Dawgs’ go-to ball carrier in goal-line situations. Despite missing two games, he still leads the team in rushing touchdowns with 6.

Bowens has become an invaluable weapon for Smart and the Georgia offense on the ground, and his absence be felt in the backfield once again when the Bulldogs take the field against Florida.
