You better not make many mistakes if you want to beat the Georgia Bulldogs.

Kirby Smart‘s squad proved that once again on Saturday as his Bulldogs downed Florida for the 6th straight season, 27-8. Georgia’s defense suffocated the Gators offense as QBs Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones both struggled to move the ball consistently. By the time Florida finally did find some offense late in the 4th quarter, it was already too late.

Earlier this week, Florida head coach Jon Sumrall made the decision to roll with the veteran Georgia Tech transfer Philo over Jones after the latter lead the Gators to a stunning win over Texas. Philo struggled to start and threw an ill-advised interception while scrambling away from Bulldogs pressure.

Georgia took advantage of the early Gators turnover (the first of 4 Gators turnovers on the evening) and drove 41 yards in 8 plays to score the game’s first touchdown, courtesy of RB Nate Frazier.

Frazier was dominant on Saturday. He outrushed the Gators’ entire team, totaling 67 yards on 12 carries with the above touchdown. Frazier also hauled in a reception for 10 yards. For the day, Georgia outrushed Florida 208-40.

Chris Cole helped Georgia finish the first half on a high note, tracking down a Jones fumble (via Quintavius Johnson) and returning it the distance to put the Bulldogs up 24-0. Just look at the difference in effort:

Georgia now sits at 7-1 with just 4 remaining matchups in the 2026 regular season. They definitely won’t be easy, though — the Bulldogs are set to face off against Ole Miss in Oxford next week before matchups vs. Mizzou, at South Carolina and vs. Georgia Tech.
