Georgia superfan Ric Flair trolls Alabama on social media

Alabama’s loss to Auburn last Saturday means that the Crimson Tide will not participate in the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. They will be forced to wait until late Saturday or Sunday to learn of which bowl they will be participating in.

It is certainly an odd feeling to have the Tide not in the playoff discussion. And, as a result, other SEC fans are taking the opportunity to remind them that there won’t be a championship trophy waiting for them at the end of the season.

One of those fans is wrestling legend “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. The Georgia Bulldogs fan, a resident of the Atlanta area for several years, couldn’t resist rubbing a little salt in the wound himself.

If Georgia ends up beating LSU in the SEC championship game and eventually wins the College Football Playoff national championship game in January, Flair and other Bulldogs fans will have plenty more to celebrate. For now, though, they’re left to watch Alabama fans wallow in their sorrows.
