โ€œI will confirm that I received a notification (from the Knox County District Attorney Generalโ€™s office) that a presentment had been returned against him alleging rape,โ€ said Williamsโ€™ attorney, David Eldridge, to KnoxNews.com. โ€œMr. Williams turned himself in to the Knox County jail and was released on a $40,000 bond.โ€

Johnson and Williams were immediately suspendedย in November from the football team. They were accused of rape at Johnson’s residence in November by a female UT student. Williams was also accused of sexual assault by another woman in the same incident.
