Gunner Stockton was stellar in Georgia‘s Week 8 win over Ole Miss, going 26-of-32 for 289 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. He also ran 10 times for 59 yards and a score. The second half was when he really shone: 12-for-12 passing, 135 yards, and three touchdowns as the Bulldogs handed the Rebels their first loss of the season.

Stockton, thanks to Saturday’s outing, won his second Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week honor. That makes him the first quarterback this season to win the award at least twice in 2025.

Stockton last won the award against — of course — Tennessee, where he enjoyed a career day in passing yards with 304 on 23-of-31 passing while throwing 2 touchdowns and rushing for another.

Georgia is sitting at 6-1, with Stockton a big part of that success. For the season, the fourth-year junior from Tiger, Ga., has thrown for 1,553 yards and 10 touchdowns while recording just one interception. He also has 58 carries for 279 yards and seven touchdowns. Among SEC starters, his 70.50 completion percentage is the highest mark in the SEC, .01 higher than that of Vanderbilt‘s Diego Pavia.

Georgia has an open week before facing Florida on Nov. 1.
