Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher made some bizarre claims on Monday, saying that Auburn only reached the 2013 national title game because of the illegal use of offensive linemen down the field on passing plays.

According to AL.com, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn replied to those accusations on Tuesday evening:

“I don’t know,” Malzahn said Tuesday. “I think we do a good job playing within the rules.”

Fisher said Auburn’s illegal use of linemen during the famous Kick-Six game led to the Tigers earning a trip to the 2013 national championship game.

Fisher’s Seminoles defeated Malzahns Tigers in that contest, so maybe he should be thankful officials didn’t flag Auburn for its supposed penalty.
