Vernon Hargreaves wants donations for every inch in his vertical jump at combine

Former Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves has given himself added motivation when he participates in the vertical jump at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Hargreaves, in conjunction with Pledge It, is fundraising for Stand by the Wounded, which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “support the needs of wounded or injured military personnel, veterans, and first responders at the Federal, State and Local level.”
Hargreaves wants fans to make a donation to the organization for every inch he jumps at the combine. You can make it here on the Pledge It website.
The 5-foot-11, 192-pounder, who’s expected to be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft after back-to-back All-American seasons, had this to say on Pledge It:
“As I began my training for the NFL Combine at EXOS in Gulf Breeze, Florida, I thought improving my athletic performance would be the biggest impact the training center would have on me. I quickly realized that their impact far exceeded increasing my vertical leap. EXOS not only trains athletes like myself, but rehabilitates critically wounded military personnel injured in action. My time at EXOS has allowed me to build a special bond with these brave individuals serving our country.
Join me in supporting critically wounded military personnel, veterans, and first responders at the 2016 NFL Combine. Pledge a donation toward every inch I leap in vertical jump to support our service men and women.”
