High school team finds the most brutal way to lose a game, end the season

Fayetteville High School (Arkansas) found a brutal way to lose a high school football game Friday night.
While leading Central (Little Rock) 35-34 and backed up deep in their own territory, the ball was snapped with 4 seconds left, and the quarterback took a knee with 2 seconds left on 4th down. The Fayetteville coaches thought they had won the game. However, after an official review, it was ruled that Central had 2 seconds left to win the game, and it sent out the field goal team.
The quarterback had taken a knee 2 seconds too early. The kicker nailed the 29-yard field goal to win the game and end Fayetteville’s season.
We haven’t seen a more heartbreaking way to lose a game in a long, long time.
