In his Tuesday press conference, UGA coach Kirby Smart was asked about the two defenders.
“Lewis is still in concussion protocol but he’s exercising. He’s able to work and run, just no contact right now. Hopefully, he’ll get cleared,” Smart told reporters.
“Jordan is working extremely hard. The most important thing for Jordan is obviously keeping his weight down. He’s done that. He’s getting more yardage and more miles per hour and more sweat than any of the d-linemen but he hasn’t been in full pads or anything. He’s getting a lot of work and I’m really proud of the way he’s working.”
The status of both standout players will be followed closely as Georgia looks to bounce back from the Florida loss on Saturday at Missouri. The game in Columbia is scheduled for a noon ET kickoff, airing on ESPN.
