Jaden Rashada entered the NCAA transfer portal during the fall/winter window, but don’t expect him to land with a new team any time soon.

According to Pete Nakos of On3, Rashada is planning to spend the next few months training and focus on the spring window for finding his next school. It’s the latest twist in the career path of the prized 2023 recruit with ties to 2 SEC schools.

Rashada was rated the No. 7 quarterback and No. 84 prospect on the 247Sports Composite for the Class of 2023. During a dramatic recruitment, he flipped his commitment from Miami to Florida. He ended up beginning his college football career elsewhere.

After signing with UF, Rashada asked for his release when his lucrative NIL deal fell through. He landed at Arizona State for the 2023 season, his true freshman year.

Last year, Rashada brought a lawsuit against Florida coach Billy Napier and other parties for the failed NIL deal. The suit, seeking damages for the NIL deal he missed out on at Miami by instead signing with Florida, has yet to be resolved.

After his season at ASU, Rashada landed at Georgia for the 2024 season. He did not take any snaps for the Bulldogs this season, as he was behind Carson Beck and Gunner Stockton on the UGA depth chart. In a telling moment, an injured Beck re-entered the SEC Championship Game for 1 play after Stockton lost his helmet.

Rashada is able to apply a redshirt to the 2024 season, giving him 3 full seasons of eligibility beginning in 2025.
