Jake Kreul has committed to Oklahoma.
The 4-star pass rusher made that announcement during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. Kreul chose the Sooners over Texas and Ole Miss, among numerous other offers.
Here’s a clip from his announcement on McAfee’s show:
This is a huge pickup for the Sooners. He’s the No. 63 overall player and the No. 9 edge in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Kreul also becomes the highest-rated player to join Oklahoma’s 2026 recruiting class so far.

Additionally, Kreul’s decision helps give the Sooners some momentum on the recruiting trail. Oklahoma lost a big battle for 4-star receiver Davian Groce on Monday evening and is off to a slow start for the 2026 high school recruiting cycle. Kreul gives OU 15 commitments with about 4 months remaining before the Early Signing Period in December.
Kreul attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He transferred there from Bishop Moore Catholic High School (Orlando, Fla.) back in the summer of 2024. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds.
