The College GameDay crew has once again returned to the iconic Happy Valley up in the great state of Pennsylvania for tonight’s pivotal Big Ten matchup between the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions and the No. 6 Oregon Ducks.
A rematch from last year’s Big 10 Championship game, the Ducks will be looking to pick up their second straight win against Penn State, while Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin will be looking to finally get another win against a top-ranked opponent.
The longtime head man up in Penn State sat down with the College GameDay crew on Saturday morning, and he came bearing gifts for former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.
Franklin handed the greatest coach in college football history a classic Nittany Lion mascot suit, and Saban happily put the iconic garments on in front of a pack of rowdy Penn State fans, to which Franklin told the former coach of the Tide he looked “beautiful” in his new duds.
Seeing 2 legendary coaches share a moment like this on national television is just another thing that makes college football such a unique and special sport.
Franklin is hoping to replicate some of the success that Saban had on the field at Alabama by getting a shot at his first National Championship, and that will all start tonight with this pivotal matchup.
