South Carolina failed to make the 2019 NCAA Tournament this season and the mission of getting to the 2020 tourney may have just gotten that much tougher.

Sophomore center Jason Cudd has reportedly decided to transfer from the program according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium. The 7-foot, 250-pound Myrtle Beach native was a three-star signee in South Carolina’s 2017 signing class.

Cudd appeared in only five games for the Gamecocks last season after suffering a knee injury. Frank Martin indicated that Cudd dislocated his knee back in early January.

The injury would explain Cudd’s lack of production for the Gamecocks this season as he appeared in 23 games during his freshman campaign in 2017-18.
