Jayden Daniels is in his 1st season at LSU after transferring from Arizona State. And despite having had to deal with some minor injury issues, he is having an impressive season.
Daniels, who is a dangerous threat as a passer and a runner, has thrown for 1,564 yards, 10 touchdowns, and just 1 interception in 2022 while also adding 403 yards and 6 additional scores on the ground.
The 6-3, 200-pound junior is already on the verge of setting some rushing records for LSU at the quarterback position.
He needs just 48 yards to break the school’s QB rushing mark and his next rushing TD will equal the current record.
Couple @JayD__5 notes on a Monday: With 403 rushing yards, he's just 48 from breaking #LSU mark for a QB – currently held by Jordan Jefferson (450 in 2010). He's also rushed for 6 TDs, just one shy of tying @LSUfootball mark by a QB (7 held by several, including @JoeyB)
