Jayden Daniels for Heisman: Fans, media react to LSU QB’s Heisman Trophy victory

Jayden Daniels is indeed the most outstanding player in all of college football!
Saturday night, LSU’s star quarterback was awarded the Heisman, becoming the third Tiger all-time to win the award. Billy Cannon captured the honor in 1959 while Joe Burrow shattered records and captured the 2019 Heisman while leading the Tigers to an undefeated national title.
While LSU fell short of national title aspirations, it was impossible to overlook what Daniels has put together this season. He completed 72.2% of his passes for over 3,800 yards with 40 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions.
Arguably more impressive, Daniels was the leading rusher for the Tigers this season with over 1,100 yards and 8.4 yards per carry. He also led the team with 10 rushing touchdowns to produce 50 total touchdowns in 12 games this season.
