Tennessee Volunteers football will sound different in 2026, though it is a familiar Vol who is joining the team.

Former Tennessee receiver Jayson Swain will be alongside play-by-play voice Mike Keith on The Vol Network this season, Swain announced Thursday on his Knoxville-area sports talk radio show. Swain replaces Ramon Foster, who has departed to fill the same role with the NFLโ€™s Tennessee Titans following Dave McGinnisโ€™ death earlier this year.

Swain was a standout at Tennessee from 2003-06, recording 126 catches for 1,721 yard and 10 touchdowns across 50 games. Swain caught four TD passes as a sophomore in 2004 and six TD passes as a senior in 2006 โ€“ a stellar final campaign that saw him notch 49 receptions for 688 yards. Swainโ€™s career in Knoxville still places him sixth all time in program history in receptions and 13th in receiving yards.

Swain went undrafted in 2007 and signed a free agent deal with the Chicago Bears. He did not make the team. Keith enters his second season on the PBP mic, having replaced Bob Kesling as the Voice of the Vols in 2025.

Tennessee kicks off the 2026 season Sept. 5 at home against Furman (3:30 pm ET, SEC Network+) and begins SEC play Sept. 6 at home against Texas (Noot ET).
