Spring football is over and college football analysts from beginning to drop post-spring rankings as we bed in for the summer offseason.

J.D. PicKell was the latest to throw his hat in the ring. On Thursday, the On3Sports talking head dropped his ranking of the top 10 quarterbacks in college football, which included 4 SEC quarterbacks. If you’ve been paying attention this offseason, most of these names won’t surprise you.

Coming in at No. 1 for PicKell is Oregon’s Dante Moore, followed by Ole Miss‘s Trinidad Chambliss — the first SEC quarterback on his list. Moore made the surprise decision to return to college and is set to lead an Oregon team that will be drawing attention as the potential No. 1 overall seed come late August.

Chambliss also had a decision to make this offseason. He elected to stay in Oxford with the Rebels rather than follow former head coach Lane Kiffin to Baton Rouge. Now, it’s time to see if he can replicate the success he had in 2025 without Kiffin on the sidelines. Given his immense talent and impressive arm, he has a real argument for that No. 1 spot.

The next SEC name on the list is Arch Manning at No. 5, followed by Gunner Stockton at No. 7 and John Mateer at No. 10. Manning and Stockton are no surprise, but Mateer is an interesting inclusion. The Oklahoma QB certainly has talent but struggled to end last season after suffering an early injury. How consistent can he be in 2026?
