Former Texas A&M and Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher will have a new job for the 2025 college football season. However, he will not be getting back into coaching.

Fisher last coached in the 2023 season, when he was with the Aggies. Texas A&M ultimately fired Fisher with 2 games left to go in the season, and he spent the 2024 season outside of coaching.

Now, Fisher is stepping into a broadcast role with the ACC Network, it was announced on Tuesday. Fisher, who won 3 straight ACC titles from 2012-14 with Florida State and led the program to the 2013 BCS national title, will serve as an analyst and appear on ACC Huddle this fall.

Fisher’s first stop with ACC Huddle will be for the major Week 1 showdown between LSU and Clemson. Illinois at Duke in Week 2 and Clemson at Georgia Tech in Week 3 highlights the early-season schedule for ACC Huddle.

“I’m looking forward to joining ACC Network and the Huddle team this season,” Fisher said via statement. “I’ve always had tremendous respect for this conference, and I’m looking forward to breaking down the action each week with such a talented group.”

As a head coach, Fisher went 128-48 overall during his stints at Texas A&M and Florida State with the lone national title. Unfortunately, he was never able to reach double-digit wins with the Aggies or appear in an SEC Championship Game as a head coach.
