Jimbo Fisher coached at Texas A&M from 2018-23, and Fisher’s ears remember the crazy experience well.

So, that’s why on the eve of the Aggies’ College Football Playoff showdown against Miami, Fisher went on ACC Network with a warning — call it a Hurricane warning. Fisher warned the Canes that they’re in for madness when they enter Kyle Field for Saturday’s noon ET kickoff on ABC and ESPN.

“When it’s here, it will be the most deafening environment in college football,” Fisher said. “I don’t think there’s more noise ever in any stadium. I don’t say that as a disrespect to anywhere else, and I’ve played in them all. You look at the sidelines, there’s no room. The fans are on top of you, they’re low. The stadium goes straight up. Contrary to what Nick Saban says, they don’t pipe in noise. It is extremely loud, it is as good a home environment, and it’s hard to communicate as any (stadium) in college football.”

On Saturday, Miami will be challenged to play and win in that wild environment, in a Playoff game no less. The “12th Man” at Texas A&M will be louder and prouder than ever with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.

The Aggies went 11-1 in the regular season and the loss wasn’t at home, so Texas A&M will look to stay perfect in College Station in 2025 with its “deafening” home fans waiting to scream for about 4 hours on Saturday afternoon.
