Joe Girard III is a big name on the transfer market this offseason. The former Syracuse guard recently entered the transfer portal and is already hearing from numerous big-time programs.

In the days since he’s entered the portal, Girard has reportedly drawn interest from at least 18 schools, per college hoops insider Jon Rothstein.

Among those 18 schools are 5 SEC programs — Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Florida and Arkansas. The full list can be seen below:

Those SEC programs will compete with Indiana, Pitt, Butler, Ohio State, Loyola-Chicago, Stanford, Clemson, Nebraska, BYU, Washington, Notre Dame, Maryland, Oklahoma and maybe others for Girard’s services in 2023-24.

With Syracuse this past season, Girard played 32 games, starting all of them. He averaged 16.4 points, 3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per contest.
