We’ve finally reached March, and that means Selection Sunday is just around the corner for the 2022 NCAA Tournament!
With the regular season winding down, several SEC teams are in the mix for the March Madness field. Six SEC squads appear to have their bids locked up, while others are clinging to life on the bubble.
As you can see below, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi had 6 SEC teams making the 68-team field in his latest bracketology. Meanwhile, Florida is on the outside looking in as part of the “Next 4 Out” grouping:
- Auburn — No. 2 seed (East)
- Kentucky — No. 2 seed (Midwest)
- Tennessee — No. 3 seed (South)
- Alabama — No. 5 seed (South)
- Arkansas — No. 5 seed (East)
- LSU — No. 6 seed (West)
- Florida — Next 4 Out
We’ll see if the Gators can climb their way back into the field of 68 this week. They play at Vanderbilt on Tuesday night and host Kentucky on Saturday.
